Step up your ice breaker game! The Desire Discovery Cards are the perfect tool for those situations. The cards name eight positive and eight negative desires, with each card offering 6 additional, similar emotion words to flesh out the main word's meaning. Have the person pick the card that best describes how they feel and then talk about it. It's amazing how much difference it makes for the person to have a card in their hand. Somehow, it gives them permission to go deeper and be more explicit than they otherwise would. Have you ever coached someone who couldn't name a feeling? Who didn't know why she did what she did?
The Desire Cards contain 16 different core desire cards, each with five additional descriptive words. To help a person identify their desire, simply spread the cards out on a table and let them choose. Using the desire cards makes the drilling down process easier and faster.
16 - Twisted Desire Cards, showing how true desires look when distorted
6 - Question Cards, used to help players connect with desires, emotions, memories and beliefs
A sixteen-page instructions booklet provides 10 fun and engaging games for using the cards in groups, as a coaching aid, to identify deep desires, to follow emotions to their root causes and much more.

"Sometimes we're to dream big but that desires seems abstract. Other times we just don't have words to express the needs and desires we have. It may be because we were never taught those skills, or they weren't considered valuable to our development. Sometimes we've just learned to suppress and deny our hearts desires. These cards are a fun way to identify our deep-down needs and desires even if it's your first time tapping into your own heart."
"I absolutely love my Desire Discovery Cards! They take abstract emotions and "heart" language and put them squarely into our hands. I've used these to help my children put words to their emotions on a "bad day" They feel empowered by their ability to express themselves to me and heard and affirmed as I listen. I have used the Desire Cards in a group of friends. We choose the desire - love; belonging; challenge - that expresses what we most long for in the moment and then affirm one another. Tears flow as we feel truly known and loved in relationship. Twisted Desire Cards have helped me recognize ways that I am trying to satisfy myself with less than the best; then I can turn my real need into a prayer that truly fulfills. Interactive games and examples for how to use the cards are included. The sky is the limit! Let creativity abound as you seek to move from a surface level interaction with life and relationship to truly living and relating from the heart!"
"Not only are these cards fun and interactive, but they are also such a great tool to deepen connection. We all long for connection and these cards are a practical way to initiate and invite conversations that lead to a sense of feeling known. Like anything, engaging in genuine conversations about what we're feeling, needing and wanting takes practice and these cards are a versatile and practical tool to use in many ways to practice having conversations that matter. Whether with your family, friends, a small group or a team, use these cards to deepen your connections."
"These cards are a fun and easy tool to get groups of people talking at the level of emotion and heart. It takes conversation to a deeper level with some structure that allows for a greater feeling of safety in the group dynamic. As an external processor I found them to be useful for anchoring and focusing my own sharing, and they drew more out of the quieter members of the group."
