Breathe Deep Restorative Retreat - Friday, 01.29.2021, 9 AM - 1 PM Pacific Standard Time

Face it: the speed of life doesn’t allow many of us adequate time to process with the rapid changes around us. COVID, family, transitions—you need a set-apart time and space to connect profoundly with God about decisions, adaptions and how to cope in life-giving ways.

    Friday, January 29th

Session 1 -Grieving Along the Journey - with Kathy Stoltzfus. (Full descriptions below.)

Session 2 - Open Heart Prayer Method - with Sarah Herring

Experiences: Be Still and Move with Mary Byam-Smith; Communion and Holding the Silence  with Kathy Koy; Journaling with a fully integrated heart; Kathy Stoltzfus

At the Breathe Deep Restorative on-line retreat, you’ll journal, experience guided prayer, catch your emotional breath and even unlock your creative side with art. Kathy Stoltzfus and her team of experienced Encounter Coaches and spiritual directors will lead a small group through  a reflective process of heart-engaging, encounter coaching, inner-healing, life-planning, and Christian spiritual direction. We’ll replace the frantic pace with Holy leisure.

Unlike other Meta-Formation.com events, Breathe Deep is about experiencing God yourself instead of training you to help others. Expect simple reflection and prayer exercises that bring clarity to your every-day life challenges with work, fear, anxiety, relationships, parenting, family traditions, or even questions about God.

This four-hour virtual experience gives you the impact of a traditional retreat in a much more affordable, accessible package (i.e. you don’t have the cost of travel or lodging).

Session 1 - Friday, January 29th, 2021 with Kathy Stoltzfus

We've all known some element heart rending crisis. Just in the last four years personally we've walked through family, fire and flood trauma. None of our stories are turning out as expected: not with health, family, careers or dreams. Relationships break. Even the most Godly ones, those we innocently believed would last forever. You're not alone in your experience of unspeakable betrayal from those with whom you've shared your heart. In our places of unmet desires, Jesus there. This session includes the opportunity to let Jesus absorb pain we've ignored.

**Session 2 - Friday, January 29th, 2021 with Sarah Herring

In this recent season most of us have felt a deep desire for peace and connection.  The OPEN Heart Prayer method uses gentle rhythms of movement, prayer, and invitation to allow the Holy Spirit to connect to your heart and bring the shalom that only He can bring.   Sarah Herring, Spiritual Director, will teach us about this contemplative approach to prayer, then lead us in the four steps.  Together we will prayerfully meditate on scripture, inviting Holy Spirit to bring His light, lead us into gratefulness, and examine our hearts in His loving Presence.

Above all else, watch over your heart; diligently guard it because from a sincereand pure heart come the goodand noble things of life. Proverbs 4:23, The Voice
