Leadership Coaching: Developing Discipling Leaders Through CoachingA DVD-based Coach Training Course for all Church LeadersBy John PurcellRating: The principles and skills of Leadership Coaching are a tremendous benefit to those in the roles of Leader Coach, Small Group Leader, and Ministry Leader alike. This self-contained 12 hour workshop combines teaching segments with longer interactive exercises and practice to facilitate real learning of the principles and skills of Leadership Coaching. This package includes great coaching resources like a roadmap for setting up a coaching system, coaching covenants, and observation and feedback tools. Each session includes 10-30 minutes of input, discussion and coaching practice. Two coaching demos are also included. The workshop can be done in 2-7 segments, depending on your needs. Each trainee will need a copy of the Participant's Guide .

About the AuthorJohn Purcell has been actively discipling men for a decade. During this time he created a leadership development and coaching methodology for Perimeter church in Atlanta. John is also a Certified Leadership Coach who has helped church leaders all over the world grow in their leadership effectiveness, and has helped churches become more effective at being The Church.John's 17 years of church leadership and management experience and 18 years of corporate experience have given him a passion for developing leaders. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a JD from Lewis and Clark College. John's work experience includes 18 years at Westinghouse Electric Corporation, 13 of those in various levels of management, including full responsibility for 4 businesses. At Perimeter Church, John served as the Relocation Project Manager over a $20 million project, then as staff liaison to two additional $12 million projects. For 16 years he served as the Staff Director, overseeing all ministry planning and execution as the church grew from 500 members and 30 staff to 4000 members and 130 staff plus a school of 500 students and 70 staff.
